A beautiful post; thank you for so vulnerably and beautifully sharing what Christ has shown you, Stephanie. The Christ within me moved me as I read your words … I could relate with so many similarities. I too talk, and listen, and laugh with Christ, and have done so from the time I was a small child (Jesus has a very strong sense of humor, I find). I am SO happy to be reunited with that depth of a relationship (being what I knew as an innocent child, who believed without doubt or question) as an adult. It took a lot of time, and inner work, to get back to that place … but Christ is patient, and all too willing to help those who help themselves.
If I were to share, in the “real world”, that I talk to and receive actual, literal guidance from a Being/Voice that lives within me … and that I follow where that Being guides me? I would get very strange looks indeed … most do not have the “ears to hear” such things … it is far easier to go to a church and follow the words of a pastor … but that is not Christ, it is the pastor (as well intentioned as he/she might be).

Religion4All is an idea: that every human being (no matter their race, religion, sexuality, social status, lifestyle, or any other possible factor) is LOVED by God; just … as … they are.
We all are loved by God, and NO religion or person has a monopoly on it. Every single person on this planet is loved equally by God … SO many are cut off from God because they are told they don’t belong. God loves everyone … we ALL are beautiful creations … we don’t need to cringe when we hear the words “God”, or “religion”, or their judgments … God LOVES us all!
There is no requirement to change in order to be LOVED by God, or to LOVE God. God is LOVE, and LOVE is God … period. There is no one who God loves more than anyone else … there are only those who choose to LOVE more … to love God more, and consequently then to love each other more. In doing so, we grow closer to God … and know God.
By opening our hearts, and minds to God (free of boundaries like religion, or social trends); by LOVING God … we are exactly where we are meant to be. If we maintain that openness, never allowing any person or event to make us close our hearts, we will be guided by God to be who we are meant to be.
In that space of openness we can then live a life of LOVE, and be guided to where we are meant to be … forever in LOVE.

I am so glad you remember Jesus’ amazing sense of humour! And the eyes…you can never forget those eyes. We are blessed to have had the experiences we have had and I suspect so many others do too, but fear speaking out. But-what counts is what is in the heart and I trust the Christ is rising above the din even in the most hardened hearts. We can see it moving the world right now.
It makes me wonder. I know Christ on an intimate level, and I can feel that you do too … and like you say, we can see it moving in the world now. What I wonder is … is this what it was like in the time of Christ? When Christ walked up to complete strangers and asked them to follow him, and they simply did … did they know Christ already, in the way that we do? It’s all speculation, but it just makes me wonder if those who were devoted to him already knew him within their hearts … following him was not only logical, but would be the only option to anyone who knew Christ already within the intimacy of their heart. Curious … just an alternate perspective on the teachings I grew up learning.
