In meditating on my prior post (“Mahatma Gandhi“) I found myself challenging myself … trying to MAKE myself be open to God, no matter what I was doing … to free myself internally. According to what Gandhi said, our outward freedom is only equal to our inner freedom. So I spent my day today focusing on trying to keep myself open; no matter what I was doing, experiencing, or going through.
What I ultimately found is just how often we “sin” throughout the day … how many times we do things that tend to separate us from God. However, since I was conscious of it, I remained connected to God the entire time. Truthfully, it is possible to stay connected to God … even when you are sinning. The things is, you have to consciously do so … our natural reaction is to shut our hearts down to do whatever it is that we are wanting to do (but know that it isn’t what we should be doing). If you fight against this though, and consciously keep your heart/connection to God open … even when you are doing those bad things … then you will really feel/see how it affects God.
That is really the best way to overcome something … if you have a loving relationship with God, and you never shut God out, then you will be very clear on what God does and doesn’t like. That’s why I think religions can sometimes be limiting … a person gives themselves over to the religion (and their doctrine) as opposed to actually FEELING what God feels by what we do.
So I offer a challenge … go out and DO the things that you like to do. Live it up … but when you do it, keep your heart open to God … make a conscious effort to NOT shut yourself down, but to keep God present. Even if you are doing something that society has told you is “sinful”, or that you yourself feel ashamed of … keep your heart open to God … never close. Just give it a try; see what happens. I guarantee you that God will LOVE you regardless … I guarantee you that God is not going to stop loving you. It is simply interesting to try and understand how our relationship with God REALLY is no different than any other relationship. God gets jealous, God gets angry, God gets protective … the thing is, we don’t need to do these things to MAKE God love us … God just loves us as we are.
When you realize that you can DO anything, and God will still love you … somehow, it really makes you appreciate God’s love all the more. When you do such an experiment, it also shows you how much we as humans can affect our God as well … we can either choose to LOVE God, or hurt God. It’s completely up to us … we have free will.
In a sense … it kind of shows you whether you really love God … or just use God.

Religion4All is an idea: that every human being (no matter their race, religion, sexuality, social status, lifestyle, or any other possible factor) is LOVED by God; just … as … they are.
We all are loved by God, and NO religion or person has a monopoly on it. Every single person on this planet is loved equally by God … SO many are cut off from God because they are told they don’t belong. God loves everyone … we ALL are beautiful creations … we don’t need to cringe when we hear the words “God”, or “religion”, or their judgments … God LOVES us all!
There is no requirement to change in order to be LOVED by God, or to LOVE God. God is LOVE, and LOVE is God … period. There is no one who God loves more than anyone else … there are only those who choose to LOVE more … to love God more, and consequently then to love each other more. In doing so, we grow closer to God … and know God.
By opening our hearts, and minds to God (free of boundaries like religion, or social trends); by LOVING God … we are exactly where we are meant to be. If we maintain that openness, never allowing any person or event to make us close our hearts, we will be guided by God to be who we are meant to be.
In that space of openness we can then live a life of LOVE, and be guided to where we are meant to be … forever in LOVE.

Not only this … but it can also show you areas where what you have been told by religion is really not God’s will. I will say this though … it takes a VERY open heart to discern … and the knowledge that God is LOVE. Anything that is not LOVE, is not God. If you go into any religion in such a space, you allow God to do amazing works within you.
