No doubt. Blind faith. Just believe! These words, said by many a sycophantic ignoramus, have succeeded in dissuading millions of logical minds over centuries … nay, millennia. Yet there is truth in these words … if there wasn’t, then no one would be listening.

In my prior post, I used the picture of Excalibur sheathed in stone. In meditating on the quotes as well as the imagery, I began to think of the sword as the mind, and of the stone as our doubts.

So what exactly is the key to unsheathing our minds? Certainly not strength, ingenuity, or willpower. In the story of Excalibur, every strong man, warrior, and I’m sure even intellectual tried to pry the Sword from its berth. The only person who was actually able to accomplish such a feat, was a weak child … unencumbered by doubt.

One of the things that adults most prize about children is their ability to naïvely and innocently BELIEVE.

For the logical mind, This is often a difficult task. Virtually anything can be compromised, twisted, or warped to suit the satisfaction of a selfish mind. Then it is spun, and repeated ad nauseam, to serve as the bit; steering the less logical minds along their own self-serving route.

So how do we wade through the centuries of lies and self serving machinations?

For myself, when I had my great crisis of faith, I felt the need to boil everything down to only that which could not be compromised. After years of wrestling with this conundrum, I came up with the answer that completely frees my mind of all doubt.

LOVE.

Stripping everything else away … every dogma, ritual, tradition, and tenet. Love is the only essence … the only source … that is completely infallible. Of course I’m talking about True Love … God’s Love, which is unconditional.

When I am centered in God’s Love, I know that my actions are a reflection of that Love … and every doubt falls away.

That is what it means to be a Being of Love, a Being IN Love … a Warrior of Light.

But there are many people who claim to be based in love, via their particular religion, and yet they spew hatred. How can they be right? How do we know who to believe??

I believe Jesus spelled it out very clearly … you will know by the fruit of their actions. If there fruit is ANYTHING but Love … then they are not based in Love. The same goes for all of us, with our own actions.

It is that simple.

Religion4All is an idea: that every human being (no matter their race, religion, sexuality, social status, lifestyle, or any other possible factor) is LOVED by God; just … as … they are.

We all are loved by God, and NO religion or person has a monopoly on it. Every single person on this planet is loved equally by God … SO many are cut off from God because they are told they don’t belong. God loves everyone … we ALL are beautiful creations … we don’t need to cringe when we hear the words “God”, or “religion”, or their judgments … God LOVES us all!

There is no requirement to change in order to be LOVED by God, or to LOVE God. God is LOVE, and LOVE is God … period. There is no one who God loves more than anyone else … there are only those who choose to LOVE more … to love God more, and consequently then to love each other more. In doing so, we grow closer to God … and know God.

By opening our hearts, and minds to God (free of boundaries like religion, or social trends); by LOVING God … we are exactly where we are meant to be. If we maintain that openness, never allowing any person or event to make us close our hearts, we will be guided by God to be who we are meant to be.

In that space of openness we can then live a life of LOVE, and be guided to where we are meant to be … forever in LOVE.
