Madness – Muse

This song HIT me last night … as I have been in a sort of constant state of meditation on the issue of Duality.  What I mean by this is how we fight against ourselves … we split ourselves in two: good/bad, wrong/right, dark/light.  This ever-present internal war is ultimately what keeps us disconnected from our Source … from Love, or God, or whatever name any might attach.

The lyrics are really what struck me; I started singing them to myself really … the other side of my own Duality that I have been looking at as an enemy all this time.  Then when I saw the video it hit home even more … the straight-laced man and the “darker” ingenue smoking cigarettes … surrounded by chaos and fighting.  This is literally what goes on inside of us every day, and we are just so used to it that we don’t even realize.  We distract ourselves with as many exterior things as we can … ALL so that we don’t have to face that all out war going on inside.

But that is where Peace is.  That is where Love is … it takes FAR more courage to end this war than any exterior action could ever require.  See if this resonates with you … listen and go inward … can you overcome the Madness … accepting, allowing and loving your whole Self as you were created to be?

Peace and Love

Madness – Muse

I… I can’t get this memories out of my mind.
And some kind of Madness,
Has started to evolve, mmn.

And I… I tried so hard to let you go.
But some kind of Madness,
Is swallowing me whole, yeh.

I have finally seen the light.
And I… have finally realized.
What you mean…
And now, I need to know if it’s real love.
Or is it just Madness,
Keeping us afloat, mmm.

And when I look back, at all the crazy fights we have,
Like some kind of madness,
Was taking control, yeh.

And now I have finally seen the light,
And I… have finally realized,
What you need, mmm.

(Mu-mu-mu-mad-mad-mad) x2

And now I have finally seen the end,
And I’m… I’m expecting you to care,
And I… have finally seen the light,
And I… have finally realized,

Capture me,
Trust in your dream,
Come on and rescue me.
Yes, I know, I can’t move on,
Baby, you’re too head-strong.
Our love is…
